Justin Fixes The Movies: My Big Fat Independent Movie

Film Critic Chris Gore is the man behind the curtain for this trip.

10 minutes into this movie, I was ready to come on here and say the only way to fix this would be to go back in time and steer Chris Gore toward another vocation, however, I decided to stick with it. Truth is, I did laugh a few times, but there is a lot wrong here, and especially punctuated considering that a FILM CRITIC is behind this.

-The biggest problem here by far is that comedy should not be so over the top and blatant. A little subtlety would have gone a long way, especially in this type of movie. Within a few minutes, you have the premise beat over your head..and it never stops. Airplane was the last flick to get the parody formula right.
-It's clear to me that the jokes were written, the list of movies to spoof were written, and THEN and only after all that, a script was written to piece it all together. You can't do a movie like that. This is so obviously a bunch of bits thinly strung together.
-I'll excuse bad acting because of the nature of the film. The Sam Jackson character was actually pretty funny, and some of the cameos were not bad.
-God help you if you aren't' familiar with some of the movies being lampooned. Well, I suppose if you are renting this, you probably aren't a summer blockbuster type of person, so strike this one from the book.

Overall, don't waste your time. As of writing, the IMBD score at 3.5 is a little generous. 2/10
